I heard a wee unconfirmed rumour about a month ago that Motorrad Central East and West has been sold

Some of the old staff gone new staff to replace them and a certain well known BMW employee from Dundee heading over

I was expecting to read something on the website but can't see anything to date

Anyone else heard anything?

Haven't heard anything for a long time now, but a couple of years ago at JCT** there was a rumour about Motorrad being bought - then it all went quiet. So it wouldn't surprise me if what you say actually happened.

So...
:popcorn

** I didn't really say this, in case anyone from JCT (or Motorrad) is reading it. :augie

motorrad central

to answer andy h query re motorrad central and east - yes it appears there are a few new directors onboard - i only ordered a bike from them recently and the staff were quite open about it all - and yes apparently the guy from JCT is heading to motorrad east

I was told some weks ago that it had been sold and that Alan Dalziel was taking over as manager. I thought that it was common knowledge TBH

I'm assuming that that's who "the well known employee.." is.

Why not just say so instead of the cloak and dagger stuff?

So it's more amnesia than MI5? :D

:thumb dementia seems to be looming recently:D

Cheers:thumb2 Not owning a BMW anymore I don't get up there very often nowadays and my nose was bothering me:D
I wasnt suggesting they where keeping it a secret but expected to see something on the website

yes,

hopefully alan won't bring that other galoot in the sales department at Dunee with him.

that may explain why I had a nice welcome at MCW a few weeks back when I took the beast in for it's MOT, normally I get ignored but this time round helpful and chatty

It's Still Rumours!

Heard about this a few weeks ago. Apparently MC bought by one of JCT's best customers - he's bought many bikes from them - and Alan Dalziel is now on-board as well - maybe as manager, but also rumours he's involved in the purchase of MC as well?
I could name the other party involved in the purchase - but thought it best to let those involved (including Alan) make their own announcements when the time is right:nenau.
I notice they stopped sponsoring the SS on here about the same time as the stories started - but hopefully they'll be back:thumb2

Cheers.......................Grizzly:beer:

Head of operations ,Mel Robinson, was the owner of Moto Ecosse at Cambuslang & Ayr. He's been a Guzzi dealer for quite a few years & was very highly regarded by Guzzi for his technical know how. He's also supposedly shit hot setting up fuel injection systems.
