I thought I'd like to give some praise where it's due. I work in retail and people are always quick to let you know if they feel they've been let down, but when you go the extra mile for someone it's very rare you get any recognition.

I'd been up on the West coast since Wednesday and on Saturday morning my rear tyre had decided enough was enough. After a phone around a load of dealers I established that only a few people had a tyre in stock. Of those people who had a tyre, no one could fit it because they were too busy, or there service departments would be closing soon. Because of the bank holiday it would be Wednesday before any one else could get hold of a tyre.

Step in the guys at Central West! They did have rubber in stock, although not the same brand as I had (Metzler) so I had to have a complete set. Because of this they did a deal and I didn't pay for fitting! After some sound advice on the round rubber things, it was nearly 12.00 and when every one else going home, I said I was in Mallaig (about 150 miles away) and was told don't worry just make your way over and we'll fit you in as soon as you get here.

After a miserable journey I arrived almost an hour later than we thought, and my bike was wheeled straight into the workshop no fuss at all. I had a chat to the sales guy who was a top bloke (even though he thought red 1200's were faster than silver ones :blast) and a brew. Even though it was closing time they still hooked her into the diagnostic computer and read the fault codes to get the bloody heated grips working!

When I said I was really grateful for what they had done, I was told "no problems, we couldn't have left you stranded up there with all the midgies!" All in all I'm really pleased with the way these guys looked after me, they didn't have to look after me like they did but if it wasn't for them my holiday would have been ruined. Thanks guys :clap:clap

Now I'm just looking forward to see how the battlewings perform in the dry :roll

I concur

I called into Motorad West last year while I was over in Scotland. Had a great conversation with Peter Wright and other staff members. Nice people, free coffee and a great atmosphere in the shop.
