Watch out for the Dutch Gypo upstairs who will seduce you with shiny things for your bike :D

Bought my 1200 from them a few months ago and found/find them great. Friendly professional and very customer centered. By far the best dealer I have been to. I believe Glasgow are just as good although I have never been.

Never been to the east coast shop, but the Glasgow shops the best dealer ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with in 23 years of biking :thumb

Congrates to Blair who's now sales manager at Glasgow, a job he was born to do :D and to the big beardy bloke (Graham I think) now in charge of the service department a top bloke :thumb

Bought a used 1150 ADV from Dalkeith branch three weeks ago.
Good deal compared with nearest Dealer (JCs).Bike was ready as arranged friendly service ,all in all worth the 300 mile round trip.
I will certainly use them again even considering getting it serviced there as I have been told I can use a loan bike while service is being carried out.
Good luck.

I bought my 1200 from them rather than JC's in Aberdeen and took it there for servicing too. The most friendly and helpful bunch of people I've ever met. Highly recomended. Its a great ride down there from Aberdeen too!. ;)

thanks for tre info guys, i will probably give them a try. they are`nt too far away

They are good, not perfect but who is. Certainly I trust them for repairs and they are communicative and helpful. You're not just a number.

Spoke to Blair this afternoon, he was born to be in sales. ;) He is sorting out a loan bike while my GSA is having some work done.
240 mile round trip, Ill have the added pleasure of the tail end of hurricane Gordon through Glencoe.
My “local” dealer is about 1/2 the distance, I prefer Motorrad Central.

Likewise. I had a VFR which I had enjoyed for a while. In June I passed a half hour thinking about trading in for a new pre-registered 2005 VFR but although the price was right the trade-in wasn't. 2 months later Motorad Central in Dalkeith offered me 30% more than the local Honda shop, against a 2 year old Yellow GS 1200 with wire wheels , which I gave been enjoying (rather more than I ever enjoyed the VFR) for the last 5 weeks.

They're very nice people at Dalkeith. The man in sales let me demo two bikes recently and then offerred to drive me to the nearest ATM to get the deposit. That's service. (I declined however). The equally nice man in spares sold me a pair of boots. No deal on the boots but I got a deal on the size! I usually take 42 but 41 fitted better so got "one" off. Bargain! :D
Popped in today and spotted what seemed a good deal - new but regd K1200R listed at £10,910 on sale at £7995. A year's depreciation saved, or is it gone(?) before you buy it! Usual disclaimers apply - I don't work there, they aint my brothers/mates etc etc just passing on info. :thumb

Glasgow Branch

:thumb If they are half as good as Blair and crew you can't go wrong I have never had a dealer bend over backwards enough to help out but Motorrad Central do and always go the extra yard to help if they can, so go in to them with confidence. :beerjug:
