After completely Knackering my back tyre whilst touring Scotland over the bank holiday weekend :blast I was forced into pottering along at 30mph from Lybster to Crieff (Strathearn Tyres-open bank holidays & shit hot service) En-route Mike & Andy from Motorrad Central pulled up in their van to check we were OK! after seeing the F****d tyre they put my bike in the van and took one of the demo bikes out which they lent to me & wife to ride to Crieff , Mike rode the other demo bike and Andy took my bike & luggage to Strathearn Tyres in the van.

What else can I say a real big THANKS!!!

For the help and assistance alone I will make the journey north to visit their dealership.:beerjug:

FFS....... What a service eh?

The word is that Mike has cancelled all weekend leave for staff during the biking season, to go out and help stricken BMW owners. New uniforms include fetching bue lycra overalls with Superman stylee BMW logo on the chest, and bright red underpants, to be worn over the top...........:D Capes optional for bad weather.

Laura's welcomed the change, just not sure about the boys in the workshop tho.:augie

"I sounds good,
BUT
then you get a phone call fae BRUCE, the "NO" service manager,
10 weeks later, with a request for the other ballance.
Iam will not purchase anything, from motorad central ever!
happy new year."

Almost a "cut and paste" job.................

Any danger you might elucidate, or are we to judge you/MC on these two posts alone?

Al

You forgot to mention this post by the good Captain. :augie I wonder if he works in Dundee by any chance?

Hi all,
I had the bike serviced just before the warranty ran oot,
I was concerned about play in rear hub, brake judder, so this was highlighted to the service manager.
who came back and said,
well the brake judder will be because of the play in the rear hub, which will in turn cause the brake to pulse.
I right. said I.
so after mutch talk, parts were ordered, bike booked in for the work to be done at no charge to myself.
fast forward two weeks and bike handed in.
it will be ready in a couple of hours, said the service manager, thats fast for a rear hub/bearing,disc carrier, I thought !
only to find that it was for a new rear disc and carrier.
what about play in the hub, said I. thats not covered by the warranty, said the service manager.
cheers said I and left.
then 10 or 12 weeks later I get a phone call from the service manager asking for the outstanding balance of over £200. as bmw had thrown oot the warranty request.
the bike had only 4300 miles at time. full dealer service.

so I think thats poor service.

what do the jury think?
