I've had an e-mither from Ulys today politely declining my registration as my bank account is not based within the E.E.C..

Toutefois, après analyse du code BIC de votre banque, nous constatons que le compte bancaire que vous nous communiquez ne nous permets pas d’effectuer des prélèvements des factures.
Afin de nous mettre en conformité avec nos conditions générales de vente : le contrat ne peut être conclut qu’en fournissant un IBAN de la zone EURO et autorisant les prélèvements SEPA.
Nous procédons ainsi à l’annulation de votre commande.

My Lloyds Bank was accepted by Mango ..... fingers crossed that it remains so.

I hope this isn't a precursor of things to come. :eek:

Ive just has a look and they've taken €1 from my bank account; probably just to try things out. :thumb
 
HSBC here. Ulys confirmed the order and shipment of the receiver.
I haven’t seen the 1 euro test debit though.

I’m also still waiting on the other one (SANEF) I signed up to.
 
Well, I ordered both SANEF and Ulys. Hope at least one ends up here :D
 
Dunno.
As said, I didn't see the 1 euro charge, nor the DD mandate listed on my accounts.

Even Mango sent me the receiver before all the crap with the SEPA not going through started. I should actually still have the receiver somewhere as I never returned it out of spite :D

I can, though, log into into my Ulys account, and I already changed the plate to that one of the new car today.

Will let you know what happens with both (intention is to cancel SANEF if the Ulys one works ok).

The Sanef blib & go tag arrived Saturday. I activated it and it shows on my account. All good.

Ulys was supposed to arrive Saturday too, but no show (yet).
I got an email in French this morning. I feared it was the bank issue but:

You have just subscribed to the Ulys Classic electronic toll subscription and we thank you for it.
In the next few days, you will see a debit of €1 from your bank account under the name of AUTOROUTES DU SUD DE LA FRANCE, creditor identifier XXXXXXXXXXXX.

Rest assured, this is a deposit intended to test the validity of your banking information which will be immediately deducted from your first invoice (unless rejected).
We thank you for your trust and wish you pleasant travels.

So, they have't tried to debit the account yet, and it could still go south.
 
I might switch from the (very good) Sanef tag to, perhaps, the Ulys tag, if only for the benefit that the one tag can cover France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. But as I don’t need to this year and as my Sanef tag’s battery is in top shape, I can wait.
 
I have two Emovis tags - one for Spain & Portugal, another for France.

They’re dead easy to manage on line and seem to work fine.
 
Well another email from Mango today saying "Today, our bank has informed us that this debit request has been rejected for the following reason : "null". Therefore, we are asking you to immediately amend your bank details to confirm your subscription." I'll try once more with a different bank account but if that fails then it looks like its trying someone else or reverting to pay as we go.
 
Just subscribed to Mango. No problems with the application (the 'translation' facility in Safari is a godsend when dealing with foreign websites).

There was the option to use either IBAN or a sort code and account number for registering for direct debits.

And now have the Mango app up and running on my phone too

Pleased so far
 
Ulys arrived today.
There is no activation (SANEF's tag requires activation) but the numbers on the back of the tag are the same as what I see in my account.

Might bring the SANEF tag with me (in its aluminuim foil bag :D ) in case this fails.
 
Well thought I'd give Mango a shot ( already have the sanef) .
So far so good, arrived yesterday, accepted all my bank details and had the €1 debit of my account.

Same for me - even down to the delivery date. I've got the mobile app up and running now - very easy to do. :thumb
 
Just had a look at trustpilot reviews for Ulys!!
Not looking good for UK customers....
 
Yes, I have both tags, but I sill cannot see the 1 euro debit on my bank account from Ulys.
While I can see the DD set up on my account (other bank) from SANEF.

Worried Ulys will fail.
Will bring both tags and wrap the unused one in tin foil like a "panino al prosciutto" :D
