I've only just got my Emovis tag. But I don't need it for Italy (yet )

Thats handy because they don't (as i post)cover Italy. I did find Emovis seamless, just a word of warning.When you get the monthly invoice after a trip,check you are being billed as a motorbike, fair few times I've been classed as a car(yes,I know I'm a fat fecker )and if on the bike,never use the far left booths with the height restrictions, you will be billed as a car and have to pay it.

As you roll up to the barrier, look up.
You'll see the sensor above you either central to the lane, or slightly off to one side.
I keep mine in a ziplock nag in my top pocket, and sometimes have to lean back for the sensor to be pinged

Hopefully be easier, I don't intent on doing too many motorway miles.

Mine's a Fulli, likewise I've never had a standing charge despite living in the U.K..
Mind you the fcking thing doesn't work no matter where I've positioned it whether I'm on the bike or in the car. Pile of shi'ite.

Request a new one. My replacement was free. I think I had to return the old one.

I had a Fulli one from 2018. They sent me a new variety last year to be compatible with more recent technology. As you say, might be worth the Chimp ensuring he is using the latest device. They sent me a prepaid pouch to return the old one back to France. The new one has been 100% reliable located in the front of my tank bag.

1) In the event of a breakdown or a flat tyre on the French motorway network, repair and/or replacement fees of up to 1,500€ are covered for mechanical breakdowns and up to 500€ in the event of a flat tyre.

2) In the event of an accident, the toll or taxi fees incurred to exit the motorway shall be reimbursed (toll fees of up to 100€ shall be covered).

A bit of a no-brainer to me.

Just got me Bip & Go and an email(including reply to my question) Bip & Go offer a premium package that offers the same as yours Steve,problem is,the vehicle has to be French registered to get it.Oh well,never mind.I know from experience that I can,if needs be,claims almost the same from my RAC European cover,so not all bad.

Just a heads up for Ulys users

I received a scam mail purporting to be from Ulys for a failed payment of 2.80 euros, obviously need to pay it or account will be blocked

I don’t have a Ulys tag, but if you do, don’t fall for this

Bip n Go question,,,,,
Just looked into the account,the French part of the bill has been invoiced and payed(today)When I try and look at the Italian bill/invoice,it won't show anything,click the link and it reverts back to the French bill.Now I've been through a few Italian tolls,all with the badge on the overhead gantry,some with no barriers,some with barriers.Now not all barriers have opened and as the barrier itself only goes 3/4 across,I've simply carried on through.
Anyone know what the story is with the billing, I'm a tad confused with it(only got the Bip n Go a month ago,first time using it in Italy) Cheers.

I have found non French toll charges, Spain and Portugal in my case, can take several weeks and sometimes months to appear in the account. This was especially the case in Portugal where ANPR was in use around Porto.

As for skipping through half barriers. I have not had any consequences of doing this on the outskirts of Madrid last year. I set off a load of alarms but they have not charged my account or sent me a fine.

If it works the same as Fulli, which I presume it does, Bip n go will bill you directly and pass on the charges to the Italian or Spanish companies that they have a partnership with, so they’ll be itemized but you’ll only have one global bill

No,apparently the Italian side of it is billed separately. I just can't seem to see the bill.The French part has worked spot on.

So it seems my question is directed at anyone who has used Bip n Go in Italy.

I went through these 3/4 barriers last time in Italy, at one manned both i was pointed through by an operator,never heard anymore about it.

Assuming that you did ride through the Telepass gantries (I assume yes, as generally the short barriers are only there) that is fine.

The tolls are faster in Italy compared to the French ones. The instructions for motorbikes is to never stop when you are going through even if the blipper is not "sensed" and just ride through the side of the bar. That's why they are short.
They will take a picture of the vehicle, read the plate, and fix it.

It normally, in my experience, works well.
I was one of the beta testers of the Telepass system for bikes, many years ago when introduced, and at some point I was able to go through without using the blipper and I was still being billed correctly (via photos)... as long as you are in the system. But I wouldn't advice for it.



I don't know how Bip & Go does the billing, but it might be possible that you will receive the Italian portion of the motorway payments with the following billing cycle.

I use Ulys and generally I receive all the Italian payments as a separate invoice from Autostrade per l'Italia. Those generally take a bit longer to generate (in Italy I think the billing cycle is on three months basis for Italian customers, but not 100% sure), I generally get them about a month after.
But I can see all the details.

I wouldn't fret.

Trust me you'll see when the Italian bill arrives because a. in Italy there is no difference between cars and bikes at the toll, and b. Italian motorway tolls are fucking expensive. So it will cost a bit.

Makes me laugh Ulys uses the terms "consumption". It's a disease!

Just as well I've done a fair bit off the tolls then.Got Rimini after here(San Marino)-no tolls,then up to Steylvio(sp)I'll have to work out the "Alternative " route

Couple of things that put it on the todo list on this trip.

Trouble is,i fecked me dates up and now not sure i can stay the night at above abode,may have to work something else out.
