Yes, hoping to see the show but not sure which day I'll get up to it.

Just booked into the Hotel Fernblick in Fiss in Austria and will probably talke a day trip from there to the Biker Meet. 08 GS with Scotland :flag on the pannier.

Skye and I plan to arrive in Lermoos in Austria on Saturday afternoon and aim on heading over as soon as we are unpacked.. Only a few miles away so reckon might pop back over on Sunday as well.

good to see a few scots going to the bikermeet - the chance of meeting each other is rather remote as there are normally over 30K visitors to the meet each year

Garmisch

It will be easy to find the 'jocks' they will be at the Bar. Like Me.
Hick.

No it's funny you always seem to bump into a lot of Brit's. I have met one chap 3/4 years running. Its great Craic.

Paddy

I can't wait! I'll be in the bar too! :thumb

I've never been to Motorrad days before but I've been to plenty of German festivals and events and I know the Germans can't do anything without beer involved.

See you in the bar :beerjug:

Skye and I made it to Garmisch tonight but never saw any UK erg bikes. We did spot another bike with a :flag sticker though

Hoping to attend next years event in Garmisch and wondered if anyone could tell me:

1) Is it free entry to the event?
2) is there a cost for camping at the event?

I've asked the motorrad customer service team and two separate BMW dealers these questions and none of them had even heard of the event lol :blast

Thanks in advance :)

In answer to the questions!

1. Entry to the event is free.

2. This year was the first year the camping was chargeable but at only equivalent £7 for as many nights as you were there its a mere pittance.

Can't recommend it enough superb atmosphere great event.:beerjug: I went with my father 1100 and 1200 GS and combined it with doing the Eagles Nest, Grossglockner, Stelvio, Italian lakes and then following the Route de Grandes Alpes down through France then a few days on the South Coast. The only way to do it in my opinion.:thumb

Get yourself there and enjoy!!
