@Mikkola - Thanks so much for the feedback - really appreciated. Been trying to find this out for weeks! Thanks for the tips on the route too.
Originially was going to do Vosges mountains down through France, then along the Banks of the Bodensee, Garmisch, Stelvio Pass, Umbrall Pass, Road to Davos then on to Zurich, Black Forest via Titisee and the B500 up to Freiburg and then back via Vosges mountains on the way back to chunnel.
Was hoping to take in King Ludwigs castle while at Garmish as it's not far up the road too but hadn't considered the Eagles Nest - will definitely look into that and the rest of the route you suggested
