About a year too late
only had the Motul in for 3K miles as I got a very strong knock from the gearbox... went back to std oil and it made it better, but the damage was done... was it the Motul??
I'll never use it again!!
Does your bike's engine and gearbox share the same oil?
In most older beemers they are separate.
Yes. It would have to be a very old bike to have a separate gearbox.

Just looked it up, you learn something new everyday! Up to the LC the Boxer engine used separated lubrication for engine/gearbox.
