ive had a good search but to no avail... can anyone help with a tidy solution to get my tomtom rider 1 to mount to the top arm of the windscreen support on a 1200 adventure?

If you really must you can use a RAM clamp around the top screen bar but it may not be a good idea. I have tried using the top bar for my Garmin 2720 and it vibrates like crazy. Thought it was the RAM mount so bought Touratech's special adaptor to use with a Touratech stanav bracket. That was just as bad and buggered the paint on the bar.

I put the satnav back on the handlebars where it is rock solid and thought I would use the mount on the top bar for my bike-to-bike radio as that is much lighter. That shook about just as much but when I moved the mount to the bottom (original) bar it is rock solid.

I've mounted my TTR to the screen mount witha Ram Mount and never had a problem. Maybe it's because the TTR is considerably lighter than the 2720? :nenau then again I've always used one of Egon's little straps to keep the TTR secured to its mount :thumb2

thanks all - i have used the power of ram man before - so i will give him a go....

although i think some of the mounts are a bit bulky :hide
