Hello,

I am looking for a mounting solution to put a BMW Nav 3 including the cradle on the LH side of the handlebars on an R1200GSA (08)

If anyone can point me towards a suitable bracket it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Paul.

I assume you have the cradle which is the Garmin cradle and power lead and has a locking Torx screw at the top ?.

As for a mount, simplest is RAM-B-149Z-G1 which was for the SPIII/2610 where the cast u-bolt bracket locates onto the widest edge of the oval rail, add shim (inside the kit) to pad out so 1" u-bolt picks up with nyloc nuts. I would add a wrap of rubber around the oval rail as well. The cast -u-bolt should be facing towards you.

The round base locates onto the four holes on the cradle and I have used the screws in the mount kit (longest) so that when you try and remove the power connector, you're still have skin on your knuckles as the Garmin bolts poke out which is fiddly to get at the connector.

Thanks,

It's the cradle that comes as standard with the BMW Navigator 3 (with the 4 buttons on the LH side) pic here of gps unit sat in cradle:

- I know it's made by Garmin but I don't know if or what the comparable part is in the Garmin range. Do you still think it would fit and could you by any chance recommend a supplier?

Thanks again for your help.
