Mounting options for Garmin Oregon to Husky TE 450

I have the latest Garmin GB Discoverer (Land Ranger) Maps.

The Oregon doesn't come with a mount, how did you fit your Oregon, Colorado etc to your bike?

I'm thinking using a RAM mount and the vehicle mount combined as the supplied suction disc thingy is for windscreens is obviously of no use on a bike and substitute the suction disc for the RAM mount.

Also will rechargeable and alkaline batteries last a day riding or is it better to power GPS from bike?

simplest.. RAM-B-149Z (3" standard arm) or RAM-B-149ZA (1.75" short arm) with u-bolt onto handlebars and diamond base onto cradle, which is model specific, so decide and let us know.

Onto windscreen, RAP-224-1 and RAM-B-238 = RAM-B-224-1 suction base kit with ball, then from arm upwards, remove from bike and attach into car.

Yep, what he said!

Don't bother trying to bike power the Oregon. It doesn't work on rough trails and the unit spends more time rebooting than showing you where you are. Stick to batteries.
