Here's some pictures of how I mounted my Twin Magnums.

Here they are on the Bike.

I put them right were the stock horn was.

I used the stock mount and the mounts that came with the horns. I got a BMW male plug/connector, to plug into the stock horn female power connector.

The plug was 21 can dollars. I was surpised that the dealer had one. :thumb

I double up the mounts that came with horns because I found that a single mount by itself was too flimsy.

The horn that has the power wires going to it, has got a connector on it with both male and female ends. So I can run power to the second horn.

The last Shot.

I took the horns off the bike after I took the pictures of them on the Bike.

The open ends on the horns were facing up. This would allow water to collect in them. So, I move them so the open ends face down so water will drain out and not get in them in the first place. Or so I hope. :)

Just got a set of these fitted (North's pictures helped no end) and I have to say they sound brilliant compared to the pityful peep of the standard horn. Loud is not the word and the twin tone sound is great. :thumb

Just bought a Nautilus and tried it before fitting it to the bike.

After my ears stopped bleeding I thought about fitting it... stuffed full of cotton wool!!!

Its still sat on the shelf waiting for me to take my bravery pill....

Oh take the pill, it's worth it when a dozy car driver gets the fright of his/her life and wonders where the truck is!! :D

Thats a very"gay" bit of wiring

Dragging up an old thread with possibly the gayest post I'll ever make....

I toyed with the problem of water ingress to the Magnum and came up with this:-

They're pure latex so oil shouldn't rot them and easily available. I thought about using a femidom but I think they're too big

Lateral thinking's where it's at ......... :D

Horns

Yes the nautuals is brillient I'm now wondering about mounting two of them
they do work. I've always wanted a horn from an american train as these doooo wooork, but would require a trailer to carry the compressor so the nautuals (not the spelling!) is the next best thing. Take a look at the sticky on the adventure riders site covers fitting these horns (N's, not trains!) .
The horns fitted to K1100's are very good also there are ctwo of these and could be a budget way forward.
dave ( stick you head out of the window and I'll give you demo toot!)gs.
