Been pondering about having a bit of music through the Autocom when 2 up.
Don't have a use for anything as posh as Ipod or Walkman but would like some advice on a good fair price player that will hold a bucket load of tunes and is easy to load - must have good volume as well.
Bit of a 'puter and MP3 numpty really so simple would be best.

Ta awfully

Sherps ;)

I've an iRiver H120, 20gb hard drive, plenty big enough for long tours. It's been superceeded though :o

Like most players you can just drag and drop from the PC to it, through the USB lead. Some, charge through the USB lead, mine doesn't. :(

What's your budget and how many is a bucket load? :D

Ditto.

It sits permanently under the seat, next to the Starcom.

The real plus point though is that it has a small remote and the cable is j-u-s-t long enough to get to the headstock so I can turn the device on and off (small buttons, so it's pre-gloves). I rigged up a 5v supply, switched off the ignition, so it keeps charged up. :thumb

Bought a cheap Bush (I did say it was cheap) MP3 doodah wotsit thingy from Argos for about £20, nothing fancy like I said, but it takes those SD card thingies that you magic music onto and it plays them back really well. Apparently, it can take gigadewburies of memory's worth of these card things as well, so it is "expandable".....it works for me anyway!!
I've done the whole radio / cassette / CD / MP3CD / minidisc route and this has been the most successful yet for the bikes, (very small as well).
