I must be getting soft in my old age. Yesterday I was getting very cold once the sun had set, Thirsk to Leeds in the dark and approx 10c.
Today with the garden frosted over I thought its about time I found my heated jacket in the loft.
I had a good ride out to the Secret cold war bunker at Withernsea and with the sky being so clear the temp dropped to 9c by five o clock. I switched my jacket onto low, set my heated grips to position one and had a nice ride home warm as toast. I will have to dig out the heated insoles within the next few weeks.
If you have not tried heated clothing yet give it a go. You can dress in lighter less bulky clothing so you can walk about and then let the electrics do their work when the temperature falls.

Martin, is that the Keis jacket with temperature controller?

The reason I ask is mine always worked perfectly on the ducati. The fuses to both jackets blew, however, when we plugged them into the 1200 (me pillion of course) :)

Mine blows every time it's plugged into the 650 (both the socket and wired to the battery direct). Needless to say I'm pretty brassed off. phoo's found his jacket seems to work fine if wired direct to the battery as long as the temperature controller isn't used. Anyone else had similar problems?

Thats an odd Beth, Im no expert but I would have thought a 12v direct connection to any battery would be the same to the controller and jacket.
Im using a Gerbings heated jacket, this is a first class bit of kit which also heats my arms, front back and for added luxury the collar. The heat controller is an electronic clipper which reduces the current draw, I have it wired directly to the battery as I discovered full heat and connected boot insoles could cause the accessory plug to trip out.
Try fitting a surge resistant fuse, it could be the starting up or plugging in with a full load which causes the problem.
Good luck though, 1.0C on the way to work yesterday so I think the jacket will get plenty of use this winter.
