OK, so it costs to have multiple instances of maps running on several devices, and the license costs appear to be getting loaded to the MRA owners
I get that.
I think I’ve understood their email message relating to costs, but something might have been lost in the translation.

Why didn’t MRA simply code an auto “log-out” function if the app/device hasn’t been used for a specific (short, say ten minutes) period of time. I’m sure the code monkeys could have developed that, much easier, instead of writing the script to charge users an additional Eu5 a month if you go over your limit ????? :blast

Or, have I got that all wrong?
And, no, before anyone suggests, I haven’t shared my password with others so they can dip into my account.
This sounds like a re-run of Netflix all over again.

Moved to the MyRoute app subsection.

What email is this? I’ve not had anything about device limits from them.
Just came through.
Officially 1 membership 1 licenced map access but they have never enforced it
Now as the costs to them are going up, they are limiting the NAVIGATION app to 2 devices, such as phone or tablet

This does not affect the PLANNING app which is web based

I think they are trying to stop folk handing their login details to others. It only affects the app........it can only be on two devices at a time but you can add and subtract devices via an option under your account on the app. Seems fair enough and as stated above the planning portal can be accessed by any number of devices.

Good. No issues here then.
Sounds like something got lost in the translation for me.

Discussed on the MRA community forum. Pretty much as outlined above :)

There’s a post from MyRoute’s owner about this, on MyRoute’s forum.

It’s the usual story of bods taking the piss and too being tight to buy a licence. In some instances, there was up to 40 devices sharing one single licence.
