mrs's varadero 125

I got the mrs a varadero 125 today. ITS AWESOME!!!

I totally love it and shes not allowed to ride it now increase she drops it.... which she has an annoying habit of doing to geared bikes... everytime she gets on them!

I can highly recommend the little vara though. Hopefully now she will start going on some longer tours with me on that!

People laughed at me when i bought her a hyosung 125 and was running around on it.... and.... they still laugh when i remind them about it... heathens.

If I ever needed a 125 - this particular bike would be my top choice. Its definitely the learner of choice for the taller rider... and seen as very desirable by many - the only downside is the price for a new one.

I think they look great... and don't sound too bad either.

We got one for my wife to help her pass her test, fantastic bit of kit, I'm 16 stone so its top speed took a while to get too, very light and very flickable, plus zillions to the gallon and nothing to insure

Mrs Wully - Fruitcake- got one to learn on and loved it, I had a sneaky wee shot on it and thought it was a great bike- people have done some huge distances on them.

Learning on one of them is a good idea as the size gives them a lot more presence on the road and makes the step up to the next bike much easier...

Well i thought it was brilliant till i tried to ride it !... bloody thing is only firing on one cylinder. I thought it sounded a bit funny odd!

Ah well its only a gummed up carb i reckon (been sitting in someones garage without any attention for 3 years with the tank full of petrol..when i drained the carbs it came out a funny red colour!

Afternoons work and all will be well. I cant complain.... £400 for a mint 2003 bike with 4000 miles on it... swish!

Great Little Bike

Had 1 of these for a couple of years prior to passing my test.

well.. stripped it all down... to only notice afterwards that the front carb wasnt seated in the inlet manifold...

after an hour wasted of trying to get at the carbs from the damn fiddly airbox..it was only a 2 second job to get it sorted... and it now runs an absolute treat. I was so impressed with that little engine... even managed a little wheelie on it down the street!!!

only my 2 (over inflated Euro ) cents worth....

as a trainer, anyone i've dealt with riding one of these seems to grin a lot.

~it's a big little Bike.
~good presence on the road.
~ ideal for taller people and
~easily modded for smaller poeple.

takes a while to "outgrow", which is a big plus too.

I loved my baby V. It was a brill bikie to learn on and looked after me well.

And vilguy - gerroffit and let the mrs get out on it and drop it as much as she needs too. I dropped mine several times (once right outside woolies in oban ) - blue t cut covered up the scrapes really well They're NOT for the mantlepiece y'know
