Hiya,
Been a lurker here for some time, there's nearly as good a banter here as on the Bikers Oracle site :hide. ;) :augie

Something I haven't seen here, despite using the search facility is an explanation of the acronyms TU and MU in adverts usually Autotrader or Fleabay. I sussed that MU might mean manufacturers upgrade, is that bavarian speak for factory fitted? :nenau

So whats the bobby please..
TU and MU

Cheers guys.

Brian

MU is model upgrade and I believe TU is technical upgrade but someone will be along to correct me i'm sure :D

2004 R1200 GS introduced

2008 R1200 GS MU = Model Update, example GS had styling change and increase in power from the same engine configuration.

2010 R1200 GS TU = Technical Update, GS styling unchanged although all colours replaced and new DOHC engine and more bhp, plus exhaust valve.

I hope that makes it clearer for you.

PD
