Well, whent out this morning on my first ride out with the TRF.

I've done a few trails in the past but maybe only about 4hrs in total,so was very much looking forward to the day.
I turn up with my 650 X/country with Tourance tyres and off we go.

About a mile from the meeting point we turn off onto the first bit of "off roading" which is headland and has some slight ruts in it around 3" to 6",dear oh dear from the off I know I'm going to struggle with this and low and behold about 200 yds in I'm off picks the bike up and another 200yds in I'm off again in all this lovely slippy mud.
Seeing as we're off Skiing on saturday I thought it would not be a good Idea to return home with some broken bones,so after about 400yds decided to call it a day, plus i didn't want to be a pain for everyone else.
Now I don't think I'm a bad road rider,but as for offroading,it's going to take a lot more practice,and off's I should think.
Still it was a baptism of fire and I'll definately swap my tyres before going out again.

Hi John,
TRF guys seem like a solid bunch, and were very helpful.

Set of TCK's will be going on soon as we get back from skiing.

Bit of instruction would be much appreciated.:thumb

Will give you a PM when I get back.

Steve
