Mudflaps - Info

The English link does not list the mud flaps or any other gs1200 items (unless I'm missing something).
I have requested an english description and costs including shipping. If/when it arrives I will be post it.

Details and cost in English:)
"thank you very much for your inquiry and your interest in our accessories.
With pleasure we offer you the requested foot protectors for the R 1200 GS
for EUR 58,90 plus EUR 19,16 for shipping.
The kit include all parts to fix the protectors at your GS, of course. It
wouldn´t make any difference if the cylinder protectors are installed or not.
The easiest way to pay is using your Visa or Mastercard. You only have to
tell us all 16 numbers of the card, the according expiry date and the
complete delivery address.

With best regards

Fitting tommorrow

Hope H&B bars dont get in the way.

I will let you know??

Gerry H.

They don't look much for £55, is there more to them than meets the eye or could we make them ourselves?

Hi
I was looking at the picture of the leg shields and I have to agree with the above there does not seem to be much for the money.

Surely a thick piece of industrial matting could be cut and formed into the same thing for a fraction of the price.

Also I am wondering where there fitting to and whether the h&b engine bars would make fitting the leg guards impossible.

I have not seen the bracket’s that comes with the kit and what exactly they attach to.

I will be looking into a home made alternative also an alternative mudguard extender as the one I bought from my local dealer does bugger all to stop the crap being thrown up.

Update

Got around to fitting the mudflaps today.
I have H&B engine bars fitted so I had to adapt the spacers provided.

Left Side

Top - 15mm
Bottom - 26+10mm

Right Side

Top - 15mm
Bottom - 30+5mm

Kit comes with 1x30,1x26,2x20 and 2x10mm spacers.

I got my neighbour to machine the 2x20 down to 15, and 1x10 down to 5mm. Which gave me all I needed.

Pictures to follow.

End result is V.Good

cheers

Gerry H.

I will pass details on to Wudo, they may adapt the kit???

They look bloody 'orrible. Why would you want to stick some of those on your bike??? Might as well get a pair of bar muffs and be done:D

There is nothing wrong with bar muffs in this weather :)
You're right of course. Just like there's nothing wrong with those huge electric slippers that you put both feet in at once:D

Bar Muffs are OK

Piccys of Mudflaps - to keep tootsies warm and crap free??
