No, its the same gap as mine, ridden 2 up etc for 1200 miles and not touched yet.

About the same as mine too... You can shim it to change the angle a tiny bit, have a look on the original vendors website. There was a video explaining tolerances etc...
Fitted the Mudsling the other day, and as expected, it's very close to the back tyre.Here's some pictures

That nice new tyre will only get further away as you pile on the miles!
I have a standard mudsling on my ESA GS & used the little rubber shims provided - No probs even with the shock guard still in place.![]()
