Just fitted a Machine Art Mudsling up to my bike and I am a little concerned by the fit.

Has anyone fitted one of these to their bike ???

I would like to compare notes !

Hi, I've fitted a mudsling with no probs, what problems do you have?

OK....when fitted there appears to be a small gap between the tyre and the bottom of the mudsling.....and then a gap behind it tp the cross section of the swinging arm.

Is this how yours fits?

I have the BM pannier rack fitted which slightly interferes with the LHS ...but only slightly.....don't think that is the real problem

Will nip out to garage and get a pic !

OK ......this is from LHS

I would have thought it would sit tight back against the swinging arm !

Instead there is a gap

I just went out and checked mine. It's identical to yours. I imagine the gap is there to keep the swing arm from rubbing against the Mudsling. :nenau

Thanks David .....I presume you have had no problems

paranoia by the looks of it :D

imo you don`t want it rubbing against the swingarm so looks ok to me :thumb2

OK....will tighten the tie-wraps then and give it a whirl

Good to hear David.

Whereabouts in Oregon are you ....I have ridden quite number of your better roads. I have a friend who lives in Portland who has a couple of bikes and I have been over a couple of times to do Eastern Oregon and then further south.

I'm in Ashland, on I-5 about 15 miles north of the California border. But I spend a lot of my riding time out in eastern Oregon, or America's Outback, as it's sometimes called.

As I remember it there were roads in Eastern Oregon which appeared to be used about once a week !

Very different from the mess we have here in the UK.

Really? That often? :D

Unfortunately, this time of year they've all become muddy bogs again, and will remain that way until about June.

Of course, a Mudsling could be put to very good use out there.

See how I cleverly got this thread back on track? :clap
