Mudsling

Ok Mark, just trying to gather the info i need before the new steed arrives, do you happen to know if the fender extender from the 1200 fits the 1250 ?

last week i put the the mudsling and fender package on to my new 1250.............5 min job,not cheap but perfect fit.

Hi

The front fender extender and mudsling both fit.

I swapped them from my 2014 LC GSA to the 1250GSA.

The mudsling had a screw in the middle and was cracked. Luck it didn’t reach the tyre.

As a result I got the new mudsling from eBay. The Chinese copy was £35 and fitted perfectly.

Thanks for the info Bill, im wondering if the lc adv mudsling and fender extender fit the 1250 gs ?

Oops

Sorry I should read what’s written and not what I thought was written.

one or two complain that the chinese ebay "mudsling" copies are a bit short! that's why i gritted my teeth and paid for the genuine one.......which is a well engineered fit.

Big difference between £35 and £140 odd for what is basically a bit of plastic. £100 odd can but some other farkles. My nephew has an 18 plate Adv 1200 and he has the cheap one fitted, i will take a look at his before i buy either of them. Im thinking there is a huge mark up on the oem mudsling for no other reason than the name.

Delboy, I bought a front extender from Amazon which is an exact copy of the Machineart Avant extender and it is a great fit and quality for only £20.
They also do a copy of the Mudsling for £16. Going by the quality of the plastic and fit of the front extender, it is worth try.
You could always send it back if it does not fit.

I've removed my Mudsling from my GSA1200 and it fits perfect on my new GSA1250, including the front fender

So all good guys!! :thumby:

Just fitted front & rear Mudsling to my R1200GS-LC - expensive for what they are, but a perfect fit & function.
