eve all , any tossers out there with multi bike policies insurance , how do you manage them , do you have all your bikes insured with the same company ( been with c/n for 11 years now ) or do you split them up , i am i quess a bit of a horder when it comes to bikes , but you can only ride one at a time so two have been un- insured while i run two others thru the year , this time tho ive been introduced to multi bike policys , thoughts are either to insure all via a renewal or when the time comes to just renew the exsisting but poss for tpft and bite the bullit and start again anew with the other two , if this makes sence , c/n wants £315 to cover all which i dont find to bad , any thoughts ???? oh and any peps regards renewal , ive heard to change is a good way of getting a cheeper price , the company who you are insured with expects you to renew ,but by swoping you may get a better deal , looked at bennets and devit and tbh the reviews are terrible with these two , so thinking the better the devil i know !! , many thanks in advance

I had a renewal throgh from CN this week for multi bike policy, 1200gsa, 650xc and tiger cub, they quoted £323 , went on their website and got exactly the same cover for £212, maybe worth trying this approach:thumb

many thanks , e bike ive tried , came out more expensive ,and with out euro cover at an extra cost so no joy there , but will deffo be giving footman a bell over the next day or too , cheers all :beerjug:

I had multi bike with Carol Nash for up to seven bikes in recent years and they were very good. It included Euro breakdown on all bikes which was very valuable.

Last year I reduced my fleet a lot so looked around. I had heard that annoying jingle for "Bike Insurer" everytime I watched bike sport on Eurosport so gave them a try as they promised to beat any other quote. Reduced from £225 with CN to £70 with them!

PS they were very helpful and efficient when I phoned them up to add another bike on. They were very knowledgeable about different models of bikes which really surprised me. The young (?) girl I spoke to knew the subtle differences between a Mark I and Mark II Guzzi Le Mans!:)

both bikes with the same company on multibike policy. That said should be reducing my two bikes down to one shortly, so will be back to a single bike..

I'm with Motorcycle Direct & have been for about 7 years now.

Current bikes are 1998 Fireblade, 2003 1150GS & 1980 RD350LC.

Think the last premium was about £275 fully comp.

Depends on the bikes. If you've got a brand new GSA and a ropey DR350 then you may want to keep separate policies as it's not worth risking the NCD of the fully-comp insured GSA when the DR goes sliding down the road or gets nicked.

Conversely, if you've got two high value bikes you may want them on the same policy as each policy has its own NCD and having to build two of those up from scratch could be costly.

.

If the cheap old nail gets nicked or thrown down the road you're usually better off not claiming and just throw it away. :thumb

Got my Harley and my GS insured with Harley Rider Insurance with agreed value on the Harley, £360 fully comp with 10 years protected NCB, breakdown, bells, whistles etc.

Like Muppix says putting the two together can pay off.
My Harley had 2 yrs NCB, added my GS with 8yrs NCB, now have policy with protected 10 yrs NCB, which is slightly cheaper than insuring the Harley on it's own!
