I have never had a problem with starting my bike, even when it's been standing in the freezing cold overnight... how good is that?

How's your fuel consumption?

:D

Bloody great :thumb

Riding with the 1150 and 1200GS's, it's every bit as quick and at the end of a 160 - 180 mile day I will regularly put in 5 to 8 euro's less than any of them. After a week I have a free night's bed, breakfast and evening meal :thumb

Never thought about it like that Micky, but i know Bilco is regularly flabbergasted at its lack of thirst when we ride out...

If you ride an 1150 you don't feel the need to post 'how great it is' because it is:cool:

Tell me about it:eek:There's me sticking 18 litres in the 1200ADV and there's the smug Santrix topping up with about 11 litres on his 800:tears

Oh, how i always laugh.......

Just like my Husaberg, 650 Rallye bike, 1150ADV, Africa Twin and KTM640 ADV...it's normal, if not I'd get rid:thumb

Never known an engine like it, I had one to cross OZ in Jan.
The engine is running as soon as you press the button.

Well that's at least as good as my Honda CB550FII that I owned from 1976 to 1985, how things have stayed the same..

The fuel economy is good when you are on the A & B roads but if you are with a bunch of 1200GSA's nailing it up the motorway you can keep up with them but it adversely affects fuel economy and because of their larger tank range they can go for longer even if it costs them more in theory. If we are in the 50-70mph range then the 800 goes for longer but over 90mph and the benefit goes out the window.
