My attempt at a BMW R100RR (or, why should desert sleds have all the fun)

Ok sounds mega lots of atmospheric photos please.

On the MC front not yet got to this but the STD calipers will be spaced off the forks due the the Dia of the discs so a change in MC will be on the list.

Wow.... new screen and bars are perfect. Completely takes the wind off my torso and I no longer feel like i'm hanging on for dear life above 60. This will be my go-to set up for the bike apart from track days. The GS bars make it fun with the extra leverage they give you but not great at motorway speeds.

Result! :-)

Have a bit of time on my hands, so doing up my R100R.... which was set on fire last year :-/

But a good opportunity for rebuilding properly!

Accidentally or on purpose ? The fire that is.

Insurance company were amazing and paid out above agreed value... still not sure why but i'll be using them again.

And luckily the moron who set fire to it didn't know what they were doing and poured petrol on top of the bike. Insurance guy said he needed to pour petrol in and under to get a proper good fire!

So i've been "lucky" :-/

Still have a complete loom to re-wire but luckily i enjoy electrics and have some time on my hands.......

One of the best bike's I've ever owned :thumb

Twin plugged, gas flowed, WP rear suspension. front forks sorted by Ron Williams at Maxton ...

Yep, awesome bikes. I tried a GS but the R rode better for what i wanted to do, so it was an easy decision :-)

Mine has just been gas flowed with new valves and a new cam for its 26th birthday. Just need to get all the bits put back together......
