My bike was running flawlessly yeserday (CRM250AR two stroke)
This morning I fitted a 'power converter' from Touratech
http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/sh...o?sku=030-0020
So I could hook my GPS up. After fitting I started the bike and it was extremely
boggy but not a wet boggy, almost behaving like there was an air blockage.
At first I thought I had run out of two stroke oil or something. Next thing
I start hearing a intermittent scraping sound coming from the stator.
So I unplugged the Converter, the noise has stopped. but it still has very
little power almost like someone has shoved a cork in the pipe.
Also there is no 2 stroke sounding 'Ring a ding ding' when I close
the throttle - It tails off really quick like a four stoke.

My plugs suggest I am running lean - no amount of turning the air screw is helping. Any Ideas?

I have got an AR model as well, not too sure what might have happened but it may be something to do with the powervalve or servo.

If you ask a question on this forum; http://www.crm250.com/ the people on there are very knowledgeable on all matters relating to CRMs, worth a try.

Cheers mate, I have the power valve taped open as my CDi is also knackered :tears

Iv'e posted over at CRM thanks. It strikes me it is just running far too lean for some reason. Out of intrest how many tanks of petrol do you get from a full Tank (bottle) of oil on your AR?

Also, does a lack of a rind a ding tail off sound, suggest a lean condition to anyone else?

also someone mentioned it could be a blown stator. Does this sound likely?
