Hi,
Due to a hotwiring attempt, the BMSKP is blown. This I presume to be an ECU, the brains of the bike.
With traditional fuses, a fuse would have blown and saved it or am I mistaken?
If I'm right, is this a weakness in the canbus system.
The dealer's told me the canbus system wasn't working because the bike wasn't turned on. Wouldn't have mattered with a fuse.
I've argued that I shouldn't have to pay the €612 + fitting cost of replacement.
Am I being unreasonable?
Jim.
