Any Hi-Fi buffs out there want to drool over this. It's my Christmas pressie to myself.

"High quality, THX Select certified, the VSX-AX3 is a powerful A/V receiver, built according to Pioneer’s Advanced Multi-channel Stereophonic Philosophy. This means that this amp’s design adapts certain AIR Studios’ professional sound engineering principles to the home environment. Besides AIR Studios fine-tuning, the VSX-AX3 features the Pioneer exclusive Advanced Direct Energy MOS FET circuitry, ensuring a stable sound image and strong drivability for all 7 channels — each with a power output of 100 W. And with the Automatic Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration(MCACC) system with microphone, it will seem like one of the professionals from AIR Studios is adjusting the sound in your living room."

It's awesome.....I connected it up last night and sat back and was just blown away with the sound quality . Listening to digital radio through the Sky Box has reached a whole new level and as for DVD movies....this baby is the max :D I have only worked my way through about a quarter of the functions so I look forward to playing around some more during the next few days.

.....and a couple of these babies for good measure. The AMP has 7 speaker channels and I've only used 5 so far so I need to get some more speakers :D

I have its little brother, the more affordable model;)

Super amp, sounds as good if not better than a lot of high end hifi amps in stereo mode.

Just got to find room for all those speakers (8)

I have to confess I am in a priviledged position .... had the chance to snap up these goodies at bargain prices otherwise I doubt I would have ever owned anything like this .
It really is amazing kit - I can now understand why some people could get addicted to this Hi-Fi stuff......:drums :dj :fiddle :guitarist :headphone

Ohhhhh another pioneer fan! :D
I have a very simplistic pioneer amp which gives me all year round music pleasure. Hopefully next year I can get the rest of the kit. :)

employee discount, would have been rude not too:D

Hope you haven't scrimped and got yourself a decent centre (voice) speaker and a nice (quick) sub.

The programmable controller with learn function is cool too.

Its a slippery slope this home cinema malarkey, soon you'll be worrying about the various merits of plasma, LCD or the real daddy- projected images.

My builder mates addiction got the better of him, he now has a purpose built listening room, his missus thought she was getting a new dinning room/extension:D
