Yes that's right kids, unless something goes tits up then I'll be collecting my DR650 sometime next week. Got a bit of a bargain I did; seller made it look like the bike was nicked - which didn't help him sell it. :bounce1

He did sell it yesterday, but the guy didn't turn up, apparently saying he'll turn up today. But if he doesn't then it's mine. The bike needs a few items including an ignition (currently "screwed"), but all looks good for the Morocco hack.

Also looking at travelling UK to Cape Town from early August to late September. Now that would really be good.:clap

Excellent:thumb
I had a big off on mine yesterday and it just shrugged it off..well apart from a dented tank etc:o

I have a brand new very strong bash plate that's brand new which I bought in error after already getting one. Let me know if you need one.

Hi Tim, bike doesn't have one so will contact you if the buyer backs out and bike is mine. Fingers crossed.:bounce1

These mod have transformed my DR650;

Hagon progressive fork springs
Rear shock rebuilt by 'Kais' with stiffer spring and revalved.
Dynojet and K&N
18" rear wheel from a DR350
525 chain with much shorter gearing.
The 525 sprockets are the same as from a CCM 644:thumb
Renthal bars and risers which I've modded to move forward as well.

I did warn you Tim that a spare tank comes in handy;)

even if it was the wrong year:(

You should have the colour back in your cheeks soon, I've been over those bars myself and it took out my shoulder....now that was sore:o

Looks like the DR fell through, but, I've found something even better and going to pick up tomorrow. OMG this is going to be good...:beerjug:

I recon its going to be a Husqvarna.... who are incidently in discussions about being bought out by BMW from the parent MV Agusta company....now that will be interesting;)

Oh and it will be a 610........

have fun

Gypsy Lee:rob

Ah you've given the game away. I just... need ... the owner ... to get back in touch.

Then it's mine. All mine. :beerjug:

Perhaps, you really don't rate 'em then:thumb2

Going after another DR now but it's expensive. Hmmm

It may be just be my impression but Huskys, Husabergs and the like are a tad highly-strung for desert biffing.
Probably good bikes for those that like to fettle and do oil changes every 45 minutes (minor exageration), supremely competent and thrill dispensing when working 100%, no doubt, but to take from Newcastle to Nouackshott (SP?) ...I dunno....

DR650 should be fine :thumb2
