:) Tell me more, I'm missing my 1400 already. Adv won't be here 'til june. What sort of power and, more important, torque increase are you talking about? I haven't even got it and I'm mentally spending (more) money on it! Help!

You've only just begun...there's loads on here about Mods...

Have a good root and poke around...;)

Personally, even stock my 1150 Adv had plenty of poke but it was just too quiet. Now, with a light Y-piece made up to a Termignoni exhaust-can the quiet part is fixed (and how!) but the largest improvement was in the effect of losing all that weight of the standard parts.

Mods might make it look prettier (so to speak) or add a degree of pride, having put your personal touch to it, or more focussed on the sort of riding you do with baggage or whatever.

But in my opinion; performance wise the 1150, and especially the 1200, don't need fettling. It'll keep the sport bike riders honest and it goes alright for the whale that it is when off road.

Don't think so - to get 97BHP you'll need to be looking at gas flowed heads and S cams. Might be a bit quicker with a can, y piece, k&N and chip but I'll eat my lid if it's pumping out 97bhp:D Do not confuse noise with power:D They do sound good though don't they ;)

Cookie,

a bit confused by your HP graph. Although you are comparing power at 6500rpm, the std run appears to develop more power at about 6100 than it does at 6500. So your net gain is a bit less than the 8.9 hp suggested by the figures. Or have I misread it?

Mike:)
