Gone a bit overboard with the weight saving. Shouldn't that metal lump on the bench be..er.. in the frame?:augie

You know when you take something a part, then put it back together and there's always something over,,,,,:blast:blast "I wondered where that went and why the bike wouldn't start":thumb

I think its ok and will look crackin with the new pedal set and stabilisers

OS

Great side stand, can you give me details,PLZZZZZZZZ!:thumb

Overland Solutions and it aint cheap! but is IS damned good:drool
He will sell you one to weld on yourself, but better to take the bike to him... it is however in the armpit of the world... Sheppy.

overland-solutions.com

Its one of those sites that works best with IE:(

Should've asked that question before you sent yours to the paint shop. It's welded on :D

All is not lost though. Have a look at Lilith's thread 'post 2'

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166455

Shouldn't be too hard to make something similar.

Migsel is I think working on one for the Airheads too.

Not really a problem, my mate will re-do me the powder coating for a drink!:thumb

When I put Lilith's and my side stands together I was going to weld to the frame as on Redboots, but decided against as bracket, how ever thick is it only as strong as the tube it is welded too.
Redboots is there bracing fillets to the rear of the bracket that we cannot see?

Hey BamBam,

What's your bracket like to live with, any sign of twisting of deforming with use? Have there been any issues with the mounting points?

If you did it again what would you do differently?

There are 2 "webs" that are welded to the bracket that have the radius of the frame tube cut in them. These are also welded to the frame. Seems very strong to me. Can post a pic on the morrow if you like... to cold in garage at this time of night:)
I even have the measurements for the weld position if anyone wants them - frame on centre stand + hight at front engine bolt + stand foot hight + 5mm in front of footrest bracket:aidan

We need to mod Liliths, as the bike is lower with a load on, a bit shorter and we will add bigger foot on the bottom of the stand. we will also give it more angle so it does not rock off.
No movement
With the bike fully loaded and me at 20 stone mounting it like a horse:eek:

Redboots would like to see the pics with the webs sounds good.
