My GS Today

Must resist must resist... :D

Only changed to a TC last year. :blast

New bike looks fantastic but would want to compare with the new KTM 1190 Adv before taking the plunge.

mate from the village just been round on his - 1300 miles on the clock already !!

Took it up to his cottage near Applecross yesterday.

Had 75mpg on 'premium' fuel

very happy

not sure if I'm jealous because I cant afford one or because I'm not clever enough to earn the money:nenau

Great looking bike , waiting to take the plunge and get one , same as yours red with wire wheels .. Were the panniers extra or was it part of a package and which package did you choose.. Ps is the seat comfy ?

cool

awesome mate, enjoy it

Sounds somewhat exaggerated to me. How can you do 1300 miles in at most a day and a half, see 75mpg at any time AND have the 600 mile service done??
Only asking :thumb

I road tested one today.

It was truly amazing, I will sell everything I own to get one.

I like it in white as well, all three colours work for me (just not blue)

Well done BMW

You can't be much of an accountant

Within the last 12 months you had a new 650 Twin and lost a shedload

Then you bought a new 12GSA and you are contemplating losing another shedload

Now you're contemplating a 2013 12 GS LC:blast

Accountants can afford to lose shedloads after all they just inflate there invoices to counter act there loss robbing cnunts some of em .

Hello Stick,

Mines a TE, the wheels were options as were the boxes £275 a side!
The seat, firm about the same as the old 1200.

Actually the losses are very contained. It's all about timing to get an acceptable buying price and trade in price. I'm not selling the GSA to buy the watercooled but to partly finance our camper van coming in June. I am acutely aware that there are likely to be a lot of GSs and GSAs coming in against the new watercooled so if I'm planning to be without my GS for a while, now has to be the time to do it.

GSA is a great bike, I don't diss it at all but it does set my dodgy right knee off and riding the Watercooled today made me realise how many avoidable problems I give myself. There is not much in it weight wise but the difference in reach is a crucial.

So, of course , I can't have my cake and eat it - the camper van comes first and I will have to save for about a year (from June when the van arrives)

Oh and by the way -I hate accountants too - I never invoice anyone, I am a 39 hour per week PAYE employee (I work as an Accountant for a family owned engineering company that makes servos and actuators for the defence/aerospace industry )

Sorry - it got hijacked.

What a lovely bike - I hope you have a great time with it.

I'm hardly an expert but I feel BMW are going to sell zillions of this great bike :clap

Took the day off today to get some home jobs done and earn some brownie points, after only having the bike for 3 days, I think I'm going to need loads!!

But found just a few minutes for a ride....

Took a few pictures and found a great trick with the head light. (Not sure if this link will work but..)
