Been a while since I have browsed these pages, and to be honest it must be about 6 years now since I got rid of my last GS, but my love of twins has stayed the same, dabbled with the Ducati Multistrada & Diavel 1260's for the last four years or so then I got hold of this lovely Speed twin 1200, what a cracking enjoyable machine. Puts a smile on my face whenever I see it, which is what bikes were supposed to be all about.
Only got it by accident really when BMW let me down on a R1250R, but I am extremely glad I got it, cheapest new bike I've ever bought and set up perfectly for my GS tosser size. Not too many electronic gadgets and a bike that just want to pull and pull. Wasn't looking for a retro looking bike in honesty but it just reminds me of the big old bike lumps I was riding back in the 80's. A few more bits blacked out since these photos such as heal guards, headlight brackets and mudguards but its so easy to play about with, loving it.
