My local Honda dealer

I was a proud owner of Honda Varerdero and swapped it for a 1300 Pan it was the worst descision that I ever made. Honda recommend in their manual to remove all luggage if you travel over 80 mph!! If you leave it on and go past 80 you tend to get wobbling and weaving. If you happen to be on the continent and travel at 120 mph it turns into an absolute nightmare and bordering on uncontrolable. Your rear passenger will have neck ache due to the pressure of buffeting. If you raise the bars you get a sliightly better handling in corners. My advise, though probably not worth alot, is to leave it sitting in the shop.
P.S. I got my Varedero back 3 months later

Pan weave

As stated earlier I have owned three ST1300's and toured extensively which has involved some sustained motorway speeds in excess of 100mph two up and fully laden. I can honestly say that I have never experienced any sign of weaving or any other handling problems at any time with any of them.
The only criticsm of the Pan comes from my wife who does complain of buffeting on the pillion but this is reduced considerably by an after market screen ( the Bike Quip one we have found to be the best ).
At the moment the Pan is languishing in my garage and the GS has been put to good use. It is a very different machine to the Pan and in some ways it is wrong to compare them as the obvious comparison to make would be the RT. However a recent trip to the Lake District and N. Yorkshire has cretainly confirmed the lack of weather protection compared to the Pan. Also for the first time in my life I am having trouble getting my leg over.:beerjug:
