Its a 1984 Magnum 2,well 1 1/2 really, Mag 2 frame Mag 1 bodywork.

In the mid eighties there were a couple of magnum 2 's floating around on westgate hill newcastle fitted with katana fairings instead of the harris endurance number , one was in the white and two tone blue Suzuki racing colours and looked absolutely awesome.
I remember borrowing a magnum at that time that had a kat 1000 motor in and it was a revelation regarding handling and brakes compared to the standard katana BUT just slighty too extreme for me.
Ah for the days of being able to pick up s/hand Rickman kawasaki's and half finished Harrises for less than a grand.

In the early '80s we had a group of guys in St Albans who had Rickman/Harris kawasakis.

I had a Jota and my mates had 900ss, various Suzuki GS's and some quick British stuff

Some of the 'races' we had were just scary - people complain about born agains but we were only early 20's and very wild.

At some point we would always come up to traffic lights and all pull over until they went red.

Can you imagine the sound of that lot dragging away - and I am talking within a mile fo the town centre (late at night of course)

I've had mine for 14 years ( 1000cc Kat ).....but she's starting to 'flower' due to sitting in a damp garage for the last few years.Breaks my heart but I just don't have the time to put her back on the road

I think I'd get Moderated if I put a price on this thread so I'll get my son to upload some photo's I took recently, (with a view to putting her on ebay)...not had time for that either. Given the time of year if you can give me a couple of days and it will be on the for sale section with a price. Thanks for the interest.
