My PC is possessed.

I have an uptodate version of Norton and I live-update regularly and do a virus scan 1-2 times a week. But somehow, I keep getting these Windows warnings (allegedly) telling me to go to this registry repair website, or that. My virus scans don't find anything and the PC appears to be working fine, but some nights I'm clicking "close window" every five f@cking minutes, and other nights, not a peep.

WTF?

This happen/happened to anyone else?

Download the antipsyware beta from Mr Gates' pals, that might remove the offender. It may not though, but give it a try first.

Thanks, but which do I use? Spybot? I take it this is a legit programme, coz the cheeky buggers that are doing thepop-up also have very authentic lookin webpages!

I'm not a comp nerd but have been using Spybot for some time. Seem to remember that it came highly recommended in comp mags. Scary the rubish it picks up when you first run it on your computer. Good programme.
