OOH very nice such a great transformation and Im liking the colour scheme, are there panels to go on under the seat area or is it left open?

What do you recon the purchase price would be for such a well finished bike?

Unfortunately the single seat doesn't match the shape of the OE tank.

See what you mean. It's either a special seat for the HPN tank or it has been forced into that shape due to being fitted with the big tank.

never used external filters - the two filters in the tank IMHO are enough

Good point about the side panels, I was only given the right one anyway, when I bought the bike, the left panel is shaped differently, as it covers part of the OE exhaust too, and wouldn't go with the HPN exhaust, anyone got a solution?

As to price, don't want to dwell on that too much, this will have cost me about 9k by the time I'm finished I reckon including a re paint of the red painted parts, which will become White. Nobody is going to give me that sort of money, so I guess I'll just keep it.

didn't realise that you were going this far plus a re-paint job.......... but an alternative and wise after the event - would have been

maybe the way to have added value
light blue powder coat frame, (I know the Basic has a different sub-frame)
ST Tank - painted white - you can still get the GS Basic decals
"BMW" Seat
etc

Well as you have gone this far it would be a shame not to get something that fits the theme so maybe get a set specially made by a metal basher?

yes, could be an option, or perhaps there is something out there already manufactured that I'm not aware of.

I'll decide when I get it back, single seat looks as if it will only go with the HPN tank.

Won't that centrally mounted oil cooler get a bit hot behind the high mudguard? I know you can get ones that have slots to allow an airflow.
Looking goog though- my PD could do with a spruce-up this winter....hmmmm.
Any news from the vendor yet? I know the people who sold you the bike, and very surprised- they've always been very friendly and helpful.

Roger I'm going to replace the front mudguard with a white one, so I guess I could get one with slots in, or revert to a low mudguard.

Re the seller, heard nothing, I'm waiting until I've got my final bill from Mikeyboy, so I can work out the cost of rebuilding the engine, which was supposed to have been rebuilt before I bought it.
