my R1200 GS ADV 08 - Technical / selling advice

Hello - Any constructive advice appreciated

Can anyone estimate the secondhand value of my R1200GS ADV 08 with 13k on the clock? little to no corrosion (other than a few bolts)

I have a light scratch on the r\h cylinder cover and crash bar from a slow spill on ice a few years back (charactor i call it)

I have ABS, ASC, H/grips, on-board computer & full BM Touratech panniers

A few extras added such as Remus Revolution end can (original included), rugged roads spotlight protectors, spongey grips (forgotten the name - puppy something?) and handlebar brace and pad (BMW part)

How much should I be looking at for sale - any ideas?

Is there a selling checklist anywhere so I know i'm offering the buyer the best i can for their money?

The bike will be up for sale soon as I need to buy my first car !

I would just look on bike trader or flea bay for similar examples and price it around that region...

It also depends how quick you want a sale, if you want the cash pronto advertise it accordingly... if you want to get the best return for the bike you might be waiting for a buyer .

I would say around the £9K region give or take £500 going from your description

what the value may be and the price that someone will pay are not the same thing imo.but fortune favours the brave so put it up at 9k,you can come down but not up.

I've the same bike. Registered 01.03.2008. When I had it serviced at 14k recently Cotswold BMW offered me £8,250. They would up this if I traded in for a K1600 (never on the cards!), but that seems to be roughly where the dealers are. They are low on stock though (nationally I'm told) so if I was a serious seller I'd push them a bit. Didn't feel it would have taken a lot to get them to £8,500. Bike in good nic.
