I have a R75/6 which I purchased from a member of this forum in early 2021 and as I am on the wrong side of 70 and suffering with a bad back/right knee (neither getting any better) it is now to heavy for me to ride.
The bike has about 15500 miles on the clock but I do not have any records about the bike prior to me purchasing the bike so I would assume it to be 115500 miles but have no proof one way or the other.
I would like to ask for advice on what a reasonable price would be, I know this would only be a rough guide but it will give me a starting point.
The R75/6 was first registered in December1976 and has had a lot of work done on it including:
New clutch, refurbished gearbox (now non kick start), rear engine seal replaced, push rod seals changed, new coils and HT leads, front forks refurbished, steering head bearings replaced, swing arm bearings replaced, under tank master cylinder moved to a handle bar master cylinder, right hand cylinder exhaust thread replaced, all cables replaced, new continental tyres fitted, new exhaust down pipes fitted, Katdash fitted to instrument housing, both carbs refurbished, new battery, pannier frames and rear rack fitted, second hand panniers, new centre and side stand. There are lots of other bits done to the bike probably too many to remember.
The bike is kept on a trickle charge and I start it each month but do not ride it. I know the money spent on the bike will not influence any asking price and it is worth what someone wants to pay for it!!
