Ignore them, they know not what they type :comfort:rob

I'm supposed to be the old fart on this section and I reckon it's worth, and you WILL get what your asking for or very close too it :thumb2

Bought airheads, owned airheads, rode airheads, sold airheads and the other fella in addition to that maintains and services them so you're right we know nothing.

Whereas Proff has never once said he doesn't like an airhead, merely he doesn't like paralevers, so he loves 'em and won't have a word said against them - yep that's more like it, objectivity in action.

Neither of us actually offered £500 that would have been bold or even rude, we both gave a valuation based on how we each feel about it and Cookie even said someone would pay far more than his valuation.

If it makes any difference I like the basic-ness of it, the single seat, the lack of a rack but I can't help but think it'll look much better when its finished cos for me it doesn't look finished and I really would have like to have seen a proper clock rather than that digital thing.

Digital things are just fine on enduro prepped and equipped sand munchers but this looks like a 60's scrambler (especially if it had a high exhaust on it) and they don't have digital things on them :nenau

But I also believe like the others you'll get pretty much what you're looking for it, that's just the way it is with airheads, reckon no one could enjoy it as much as its creator though :nenau

Same as me Andy :thumb2 apart from the Selling bit :nenau:nenau

And lets face it, if that pile of crap up for €4k gets half that, this one is worth at least what the bloke wants, as you say it looks ok and does not need much finishing..........

pssst.... Keith me aul mucker you've not sold airheads :augie

Excuse me :hijacked but please treat it as a BUMP !!!

OOOO ya Bugger !!
I've sold 3 of my own MONO's to people on this site in the last 3 years.
PLUS I've also found homes on here for 2 other MONO's that belonged to mates !!!

I Do my bit !:rob:rob:rob

And then there's Rob's PD - feck that's dealer numbers :D

And I'm saying nothing on the other bike you mentioned there lest he says something horrible to me again and he said something nice today :comfort and I'm a little bit tender today :(

personally i would have thought it was worth about £7/800. You may get more if you find the right buyer , just depends whos out there when your selling. you can get a cheap paralever for £1500 so i really cant see that youd ever get £1400?? still you never know, give it a go:thumb good luck

Yes Judge I am truely sorry to hear of your loss, I just hope the thieving scrotes die a horrible death..

Now back to the playground
The ones that were sold were acquired by me and sold for little or even no profit...:comfort:comfort.I bought them got them fettled by me and Monk and then sold them, all through this site. No ones ever accused me of selling overpriced airheads.
In fact I think all I've sold are still with the purchasers..:rob:augie

My OWN Beemers are not for sale, R26 bought 1972,
R60/6 , 1974.
R90s. 1980 [ started the affair with her in 1978 tho']
R80g/s 1993
R100cs 2003. Son has nicked her tho' so technically not mine :(

None of these are for sale

My dear Keith I wasn't for one second suggesting you were on the make, you are an absolute dyed in the wool 100% airhead nut and enthusiast and I don't know of anyone who has a deeper tint of rose specs than you and you have gone out of your way countless time to help your fellow man to enter the world of airhead-dom (usually at personal cost to you) of that there is no doubt or suggestion of foul play.

In fact I only blame you for not being around here in Feb-May 2002 when I was in the market and could have done with some hand-holding from someone with your experience and I might have not ended up with an over-priced shed of a paralever either!

I was merely pointing out you have indeed sold some airyheads when you'd said here

Same as me Andy apart from the Selling bit

And I was merely pointing out you had in fact sold some, more than me in fact! :comfort

Thanks for the good wishes, I guess as I'm technically not an oilyhead owner I can come to your bash now too :augie

I have some airyhead bits left over so that makes me an airyhead again :D

update

Well I'm back from my holiday.. And I dragged the old girl out of the back of the garage.. and she fired up straight away.

I've decided I will definatly be selling her.. The garage is pretty full (the cagiva elefant and Z1000ltd take up a fair amount of space) and she will need to make room for a nice R100PD or maybe a 1150GS.

But.. I am going to sell her fully finished with a completly fresh MOT... As the "arse ache" I mentioned has gone away! As I found out my insurance covers me to ride anything tpo! So I can ride it legally to an MOT.

As I and others have said before ebay is likely to be the best way to ensure I get that kind of price!

Watch this space! :D

IF i had the money - i'd happily pay £11-1300 for it...
just for the pissing-off-the-purists value alone. :D :green gri

i Really Like That Bike :thumb

(would need dual seat/pillion pegs though - Mrs Og would rightly insist)
:augie

Gud luk Big Yella

Get mot't mate, if it's running and OTR, you'll get a shed load more beer tokens for it, keep us informed on the saga :blagblah:augie:D n good luck selling, took my Enfield on the lanes (abit gently) to a pre 65 scramble at Alphamstone, bloody hell some of them olden's were getting a good thrashing, top day out, went to the trial the day before and there were loads of odd (bittsa) machines (I want one!) cheap as chips sport, let me know when it's bimble O'clock, as me Yam is running supurb! See ya bud, Dus :thumb2

Just waiting for the new tyres for my Elefant and I'll be well up for a day on the lanes!

As for the bmw.. I've got a s**t load of work on right now (installing and testing our new MRP system at work) so the MOT and sale will have to wait a couple of weeks!
