My R90S Project - Airhead Archeology

I've always been a sucker for an R90S in Daytona orange and yours looks fantastic. I hope to get a look at it if you ever glide down the A64 to the coast.....:)

It'll definitely see Scarborough, as my bike-daft father in-law is in East Ayton, and I love the roads through Forge valley, Harwood Dale and over to Whitby.

It would also be nice to have a gentle run up the Oliver's Mount Hillclimb on it, although It looks a little too pretty to start lock-wiring it at the the moment:D

The bike looks fantastic, You have done a great job Mark :beerjug:

That's a a fantastic looking R90S, Mark, many thanks for updating the thread. I feel proud having contributed with two tiny bits for it :-) [1]

The owlish sticker suggests that someone (a previous owner?) has ridden/driven a private toll road in Austria, analogous to the Grossglockner Hochalpstrasse, except it seems to go thorugh the Alps rather than overe them (result of my googling).

I actually like the look of the Lester wheels. Though I noted that Snowbum on his site has mentioned that they sometimes don't seem to survive as well as they could, finish problems, potential cracking near the hub, etc. But the latter is probably more a consequence of abuse rather than use.

May you get many happy miles on it!

Thanks all for the kind comments, and much-appreciated advice along the way. :thumb2

Hopefully my under-Screen gasket thing will drive tomorrow. Next stop, MoT Test and then hopefully a sunny day for a ride down to Squires for a pint of tea:beerjug:

This weekend… Sun! So I took it to Rufforth autojumble, where it seemed to attract a few photo takers, and watched me eat a bacon butty, then to watch some football,

then we went for a little village-hop and to feed the ducks.

Apart from the new frottul cables stretching (easy fixed) and the over-damped forks (gonna drop down from 7.5to 5wt), it rides perfectly. :D

That looks great Mark. I think those lesters work well with that colour scheme.

7.5w doesn't work well in the ate front end. I found the pj1 5w worked best in mine.
