I had one, thought it was an amazing weapon. I'd like to try the 2017 model. Guisseppe at Park Lane is trying to tempt me with a decent chunk off list.

Nutty - I went from oil cooled GS to 2017 GSA, then 2017 S1000R (in the last few months!) and I am now going to switch back to a GS (non adventure)..........so my question to you (as I know you have a 'rallye') is; does the rally work just as well as the standard GS on the road? I will never take it off road, but I think the rallye looks much nicer than the standard GS. Is it taller? Different suspension etc? I also need to decide whether to do it now or hang out for the 2018 updates in September. Decisions decisions. I did have a quick ride on a 1290 Super Adventure S a couple of months ago but it had a strange fuel -ing problem and wasn't running right (so I didn't experience it properly). What are the main differences between the two bikes from your perspective and do you have a favourite? Are they actually very similar? Many thanks.
I guess I must be loving the S1000R I've done 1000 miles in a week from a trip to north Wales to riding to work and a trip to Loomies cafe yesterday.
Great bit of kit and the engine is addictive.

Loving mine too although it does need a louder pipe. Might be next on the shopping list.

Pipe definitely needs to be changed. I’m informed the Akra downpipes do the trick. I’m seriously considering it.
