My scanner died today - any recommendations for a replacement?

OK , my HP scanjet 3500c decided to expire today ( being a scousers I need to print more fivers asap )
Any recommendations before I around the proverbal PC World / s
on the local trading estate ?
Just need a scanner...no bells and whistles etc

Depends what you want it for, just for general scanning I bought a WiFi printer with built in scanner.

Never installed ink just use as a scanner, WiFi means can be used from any PC and doesn't need to be sat next to PC, and was less than £50 from PC World.

I gave up trying to find a decent flat-bed scanner a couple of years ago, and went for a Canon MX680 multi-function machine.

Flatbed scanner is great,
Sheetfeeder scanner is good
Photo printing is great
Network printing is great.


Not sure how much they cost now, though
