My Triple black

Looks lovely Joe.

Is your seat in the low position? Mine will need to be.

It’s a standard bike and I haven’t adjusted the seat so it’s in same position as when delivered. I have lifted the sear off yet, possibly this weekend when I can ACF it. Still building up the courage to fit the new bash plate.

Felt a bit way as well, having traded in a mint 2017 (non tft) exclusive with just shy of 10k on the clock. But the flexibility and a little extra oomph and smoothnes of the new engine alone will put the smile back on your face, plus all the new goodies.

The suspension won't though.

My outgoing 1290 adv rides better!

I'm very happy for you.

Well said. I must have woken up grumpy. Ignore.

Anyway, great looking bike and would be my choice too if I ever went back to a GSA.

Role on March 29th. Can’t wait to be unlocked.

Mine wouldn’t start yesterday.

Bit of advice for new owners, make sure battery fully charged on your new bike that’s been standing in the show room before you start using it’s aux lights, heated grips, heated seats and driving 2 miles and then switching off.

Oh, and push starting is not a good option!

Noted.

As you probably know, it's the tracker that's the killer. I've had a moan recently about the tech connectivity hassle but ordinarily don't count myself among the haters; but bmw messed up in attaching a tracker without an upgraded battery. If you stay a couple of nights anywhere and can't hook to an optimate, lord knows how it'll fare. I can see a toll on bmw recovery.

yofi...Nice looking bike ! Can't go wrong with T-B :thumb2 I think I have to get me these Wunderlich valve cover protectors...I think the black TI Akrapovic EU-3 pipe would make your bike complete :thumb

You got me thinking, and so I've ordered a BOS desert fox in carbon. I shall blame you if it doesn't work out.

I have Biketrac on a number of my other bikes and they go a few between rides without battery issues. Is the issue the brand fitted to the BMW bikes?

I too have a Biketrac on two GS's and no issues related.

I have just fitted a new upgraded Yuasa on my 1250, but that was because the original, even if straight off charge, struggled to turn it over.

Ok that looks nice John.

It just needs a some use, got any trips planned when this madness is over?

:beerjug:

I have a 1250 GSA TB arriving on Thursday. So far in my GSA history I replaced my Hex Head battery after it failed with 9 months, my LC battery after 4 months after it failed to start at a filling station (before anyone makes the comment, i used my bikes all year round and they live on BMW chargers). So im swapping the battery as soon as it gets here and before i need BMW’s breakdown service again :beerjug: its the only time i have ever needed them.

I went with a GYZ16H - 16ah instead of 11ah as standard on mine

I hadn’t considered changing battery so soon. I’ve updated them on my Rocket and Harley and they crank over much easier.

Do you notice instant difference in the ease of starting? I’m putting the issue in Friday down to me not checking battery voltage and drawing too much power ona short run, but I don’t wnat this happening on trips.

Yes and it also holds a higher voltage when parked up.

Thank you. Any issues with tracker, alarm or bike electronics when disconnecting and installing a new battery ?

My bike Reg is recognised yet but he websites that provide compatible batteries. Is the one you fitted the biggest option that fits ? I dont mind paying more for more assurance if it fits, etc

I admire your brand loyalty :)
