My st farty and popping and running quite poorly ,doesnt seem to want to rev to high either ,Ive ceaned all the old petrol from the carbs and tank ,thoroughly cleaned and blew airways jets etc out and checked diaphrams new inlet rubbers checked leads and new plugs ,I decided to check the coil pack and sure enough there are cracks at the rear of the coil ,would this cause these symptoms and although its a different style of coil on my r100r could I use it to test the 84 mono st .Cheers

I run a dyna coil on my ST, bought from Rick at motorrad in the US, bike was and is noticably better after fitting..

Cheers Kev tried the R100r coil and its running just the same gonna have another go at the carbs as the bikes been lying up ten years ,maybe Ive missed something

I had the same problem, I fitted another bean can and it's been alright since [12 years now]

Bean can eliminated Proff ,switched it bikes still the same ,I,ll get the carbs back off .
