- Yes, it can be black (but I have tried to avoid yet another black visual obstruction to wherever it's used. It works better than you might think).
- If you're using the BMW cradle or similar, this probably isn't suitable.
- No. It isn't going to stop a determined thief. None of the 'locking' devices will.

You can now finally experience the unmatched ease and convenience of my XT Lock.
This XT locking mechanism is unlike anything out there, which is why I designed it. The XT Lock is discreet, seamless and lightweight, keeping your XT safe without adding clutter. I have developed this over the last 2 years and subjected it to multiple tests. It works and works well.

Features:
- Effortless locking - push one button. It's that easy.
- Fits both the XT and XT2
- Entire mechanism is discrete and simple to fit - matches the Garmin OEM mount footprint (therefore any mount you would put your XT) and adds just 9mm to the overall thickness.
- Lightweight. At just 130g
- Key access is from the same face/direction as you mount your satnav - if the satnav fits, you can (with high probability) also reach the lock with ease.
- Button mechanism has been designed for use with gloves and cold hands. Button release is only with your key.
- Cable grip to keep the power cable clear and routed property.
- Lock and push button feature luminous details aiding location - entering an underground car park for example.
- Once mounted and in use, only the lock is visible (see photos).
- It's suitable for motorcycles, quad bikes, boats, bicycles - wherever you can mount and want to lock your XT.
