I am happy using Myroute on Windows and can easily export routes to and from my Zumo XT but I am having difficulties when using Myroute on a Macbook Air. Myroute works fine to create routes, but I cannot export routes to my XT. Garmin 1.2 does not show as an option and when I try to export a route I just get an error saying that the route cant be loaded also the Macbook does not see the XT when I look for it although the XT is in file transfer mode.

Am I missing something or doing something stupid. I am fairly new to the world of Apple.

Can help with some of this. The MacBook will not recognise the XT as the XT uses Android as an OS. There is an emulator you can use. The way I use it is, if I need to transfer a route, I open the MRA app on my iPhone or iPad and transfer via garmin drive.

Yep - save the route as a GPX file and send it to the XT over Bluetooth using Garmin Drive.

Not quite correct. The XT will not show up in Finder as a mass storage device so to view the XT as a mass storage device I use Commander 1.

The XT will be visible in Basecamp and Garmin Express.

But as you say, the easiest way is to use an iOS device and drive to transfer a gpx file - dead easy.

So it won't show in Finder because of the XT operating system which is Android based. You need to use a file transfer app which can view Android, which Commander 1 is.

The OP wants to use MRA, not Basecamp. But your probably more of an expert than I am, as you have had a lot of posts about MRA and the XT :-)

Whatever.
As you said, the Drive method using iOS is easy, but so is using commander 1 on the MacBook and copying the gpx file over
