Hi

I´m stranded with my 1990 R100GS in Spain

I stopped for lunch and the bike fired up after the break for 10 seconds perfectly then died.

After some diagnostics we found no spark. We swapped the CDI and the Coil out and still no spark.

Both units are receiving power.

I´ve checked the connectors etc and nothing obvious.

Any suggestions?

If it's the hall sensor it's likely to start again once it cools down. If you can keep on the move you may well be fine, but it'll heat up again when you stop and you may well get the same problem.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!

By hall sensor they mean the bean can under the front engine cover.

With the spark plug out. Flick the kill switch several times. If it sparks then it's got to be the bean can. The only option you have is either for some kind soul to lend you one or order one from Motobins/Motorworks or Sherlocks.
