N N's Sidestand adjuster-any good ?

It's a lot of money for something that still won't stop it sinking into soft ground. Bolt an ice-hockey puck on the sidestand foot. Total cost - £2.50.

the bike is heavy from the standard lean angle with full 30l tank and kit.

Is your an Adventure or a standard GS with the bigger tank... the description of the sidestand extender says not for the Adventure:confused:

I've got something very similar on mine, and find it to be most useful when mounting.

Had it a while, not from N N, so don't recall what I paid for it.

yeah mine is an adventure and I had seen the "not for adventure" statement Just wondered if it would work or if not why not because it might stop me if someone had an alternative idea.

Quiet like the idea of the ice hockey puck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been looking at this adjuster just now, looks good but, only for the 1150 it seems and at £25.99 it is not cheap for a piece of plastic with a grub screw.

Could make something up myself, think I'll be down the ice rink later...:D :D

I've got one on my 1200. It's not plastic but alloy and it does the job well.

I thought that the bike leant over too far especially on cambers and this put a lot of weight on the side stand. It was also a struggle at times to get the bike upright cause I'm relatively a lightweight!

For less than the price of a computer game it's undoubtably a lot more useful, but less fun:D

I got one for 25 Euros from Germany.

It does the job OK, but you still need to affix summat wider to help with parking up in gravel.grass/sand.

I've used a Dremel to enlarge the hole in the Wunderlich part I had, and drilled two holes into the sidestand extender (alloy, not plastic). and affixed with two self-tappers with the aid of some Loctite.
